Titled “Memory Investigation,” the exhibition features wood engraved murals filled with watercolor and ink, in a dreamy style that illuminates the imaginations of his subjects and captures the elements of time. This week Erik and Mike interview Artist Mia Mulvey.

Mia Mulvey’s show titled “New Work” (Vertigo Art Space, September 4 - October 31, 2009) utilizes the repetition of beautiful porcelain specimens taken from 3-D scans and prints of once-living animals. Her displays are exquisite and haunting as they touch on ideas of extinction, death, collection, and ultimately our relationship with nature. Mia is a Denver artist, also an Assistant Professor of Ceramics at the University of Denver.
