This week we welcome back gallerist Bobbi Walker, owner of Walker Fine Art. Bobbi will be joining us to discuss her current exhibition “2010 Year in Preview”, an excellent show which showcases the coming year for the gallery with new work by artists such as: Brenda Stumpf, Marie Vlasic, Don Quade, Albert Chong, Miani Carnevale, and Eric Corrigan.

Join us as Erik and Mike interview artist Jessica Weiss. Jessica is a New York based artist who is part of the “Take Five” exhibition at Plus Gallery, featuring influential NY artists Joanna Pousette-Dart, Joe Fyfe, John Newman, Jessica Weiss and Judith Linhares (curated by Naomi Cohn).
Plus Gallery will host an opening reception for the exhibition on January 21. The reception is free and open to the public from 6-8pm.
Jessica’s work is a mixed media exploration of color, pattern and the relationship between compositional balance and the dialogue of empty spaces.

This week Erik and Mike interview painter Rick Dula. Rick is one of 17 artists participating in the Embrace! Exhibition at The Denver Art Museum. Rick’s contribution to this giant installation project is titled “A Moment in Time: Here”; a photo realistic mural depicting the Hamilton Building’s skeletal structure. Rick also exhibits at William Havu Gallery.

In the first show of 2010, Erik and Mike interview sculptor Rik Sargent. Rik will be announcing the official home for his long awaited One World One Water sculpture and taking us on another existential exploration of the meaning of life, art and everything (we hope!).
